The Snatcher is an inportant character in the third chapter Subcon Forest of A Hat in Time. He is the ruler of Subcon Forest and he steals Hat Kid's soul so he can use it to make her do tasks for him, and is the final boss of chapter 3.
The Snatcher is a big shadowy figure with two slim arms with two fingers in each hand, his head has a puff of hair around his neck, two yellow eyes and a yellow mouth that has two pointy teeths. As the Subcon forest prince, he had brown hair, and had a regal red shirt with purple stripes on the shoulder.

Before the events of the game, the subcon forest used to be a kingdom full of life and was ruled by The Snatcher who was a human prince at the time and the princess Vanessa, but there relationship was conturbated because the princess started to feel jealous of the prince, to the point that she would prohibit the prince of eating bacon or seen his particular tutor, The Princess who latter was crowned Queen Vanessa started to be corrupted by her jealous to the point that she turned her into a monster, she then inprison the prince on the Manor's basement where he slowly becomes The Snatcher.

Strategy
The Snatcher boss fight will start with him stealing Hat kid's hat, wich means you can't use any hat ability during the boss fight and he is invisable during the first phase of the boss fight. He will use the following attacks:
He will attack the ground in certains areas with a laser bean, in order to avoid it you need to stay away from the areas that have a circle around;
The second attack he summons tons of forest dwelers that will spin around the arena, in order to avoid this attack, you have to jump over the forest dwelers when The Snatcher spin them around;
As his last attack of the first phase, he will summon frascs with blue stuff in it that will break on a determinade area, after that one of the frascs will be on the ground and Hat Kid is able to pick it up and trow it at the snatcher, making him vulnerable to attacks and starting the second phase of the boss fight.

The Snatcher was a lot diferent during the Alpha of the game, The Snatcher appeard only as a shadow in the walls and didin't had a 3D model like he does in the final game, his role was also different on the alpha where he was going to be a creature that wanted to take control over subcon forest and knew the origins of the Moonjumper but the Moonjumper was removed of the game, and his role was giving to The Snatcher.
