Hats are the main equipable items in A Hat in Time. Hats grant Hat Kid special abilities that allow her to progress forward in her adventure. Aside of the first original Hat all hats require a certain amount of Yarn balls to craft and at least one of those must coincide. Hats can be customized with Hat Flairs and Dyes to modify their appearance but not their functionality.
